Meltem Müftüler-Baç organized the Annual Forum for Cambridge Global Humanities Network at Sabancı University on June 10-12, 2026. Participants from the partner institutions, Cambridge University (coordinator), Sabancı University, Ashoka University, Fudan University, Universidad Diego Portales, American University of Beirut, Nanjing University and University of Ghana, as well as keynote speakers from European University St. Petersburg, Sabancı University and Columbia University attended the Summer forum.

The Cambridge Global Humanities network was established in 2020 for advancing academic discussions and cooperation in social sciences and humanities. As part of network activities, annual forums are held where all partner institutions participate. The first two annual forums were held at Cambridge University in June 2023 and June 2025 respectively. The 3rd Annual forum held at Sabancı University was the first meeting held outside of Cambridge University. The keynote speakers were Oleg Kharkhordin from European University St. Petersburg, Claudia Breger from Columbia University and Gürol İrzik from Sabancı University. Professor Breger presented her forthcoming book with Stanford University Press and Gürol İrzik delivered a keynote on their forthcoming co-authored book with Faik Kurtulmuş to be published by Oxford University Press. All participants presented their own research with lively discussions, and agreed on possibilities for future collaboration.
